On August 28, 2011, Chrystal and Steve became husband and wife. It was a gorgeous summer day, energy was high and excitement and anticipation were in the air as the girls arrived at the Chateau Cargill. Final details fell into place. There was calm, not stress. There was excitement, not anxiety. There was love ready to be shared with the other for a lifetime.
Chrystal beamed as she put on her dress and revelled at it’s beauty, it being the dress of her dreams. The boys, also calm and relaxed, prepared in the other room. There were no cold feet to be found. Steve knew this was the woman of his dreams, and he waited eagerly until the moment his bride walked down the aisle.
I had such a great time with this couple and their entourage. Not a moment went by without laughter. Chrystal and steve were great to work with, always ready to kiss even before I gave them the cue. Their reception was personalized to who they are and the speeches equally as personal. I laughed, I cried, I watched Chrystal and Steve laugh and cry as they listened to the memories and well-wishes shared by loved ones.
Thank you for asking me to be part of your wedding day! I had a great time!! And thanks to Melody for assisting me that day!

I asked Chrystal and Steve the usual post-wedding questions:
1. What was your favourite/most memorable moment of your wedding day?
Chrystal: I loved the whole day! It was wonderful right from the moment I got up till Steve and I left the reception. I felt relaxed (a little nervous) the whole day and had so much fun at our wedding! It was one of those days that I didn’t want to have end.
Steve: Watching my bride walk down the aisle.
2. What did you enjoy most about planning your wedding?
Chrystal: I like how our family and friends came together to help us out with the planning. It was a team effort and they helped to make our day so special.
Steve: How everyone helped out and that Chrystal did most of it.
3. If you could give future brides and grooms one piece of advice, what would it be?
Chrystal: Keep things simple.
Steve: Delegate work to others and to keep things simple.
4. Which songs did you use for the following:
Chrystal walking down the aisle: Canon in D by Pachelbel
Chrystal and Steve walking back up the aisle as husband and wife: Recessional March by Mendelson
First dance: Lucky by Jason Miraz and Colbie Caillat
