SNEAK PEEK / Tim and Angela’s Wedding

Yesterday was my first wedding of 2013. I’ve been looking forward to Tim and Angela’s wedding ever since her first email to me where she told me that I was her “dream wedding photographer.” How could I not be excited?! I enjoyed the months leading up to their wedding, getting emails from Angela with ideas for the wedding and getting excited just from her excitement!

Anyway, I’m still recuperating from a long day of work, but it was sure worth it! Angela and Tim, thanks again for having me be part of your day! It was truly an honour! Have a fabulous time on your honeymoon!

Here’s a few images from yesterday…

SNEAK PEEK / Kayla

On Wednesday night I photographed past clients of mine. It was nice to reconnect and see their little family again! I photographed Kayla when she was just a newborn and now she’s almost 1.5 years old! Crazy! She was so sweet…

Here’s one frame from Kayla’s session:

FRANCES, MATT, PIPER & DIGORY / Little Ones Real Life Session – Surrey Children’s Photographer

This is the third and final session of my trial series for the new Real Life Sessions that I’m now offering to clients as another photo shoot option. If this is your first time hearing about this, check out this post that explains what Real Life Sessions are and why I’m offering them now. Then check out this Real Life Maternity Session and this Real Life Newborn Session.

I had so much fun photographing this family for my Real Life Little Ones Session. We first met Matt and Frances over 4 years ago when Frances and I were both pregnant with our first babies, due just 6 weeks apart. We started attending their church and I was instantly drawn to the other pregnant women in the crowd and we just clicked and have grown close over the years! We went to Vegas together two years ago and plan to go again next year! Can’t wait! I’m so grateful to have a friend like Frances. She has been such a blessing, encourager, and confidante. And her family makes me smile!:)

I loved everything about my time with them and the resulting images! Hope you do too!

PS: The picture with Matt, Frances and Piper on the couch and Digory running with the hammer in the air is my all-time favourite! It doesn’t get more “real-life” than that!;)

PPS: HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FRANCES!!!

JUSTINE, MARCO, LUCA & SOPHIE / Newborn Real Life Session – Chilliwack Children’s Photographer

If you’ve been following my blog this week you’ll know that I’ve introduced a new type of session that I’m offering now – Real Life Sessions. I did three trial sessions last month and yesterday I posted the Real Life Maternity session I photographed, and today I’ll be showing you a Newborn Real Life session I photographed. Well, it’s kind of a newborn/little ones session, since their son, Luca, was also involved!

I met Justine through the photography world about two-and-a-half years ago when she asked me to photograph her family. After that we kept in touch via Facebook and hung out in Vegas at WPPI. In her family session post I wrote that we were “Facebook friends”, but I think we’ve come a long way since then! I loved getting to meet and snuggle little Sophie, and just to be able to take these photos for them! Luca was hilarious, too. The only way I could get him to look at my camera was to let him throw socks at me from the closet! haha. Him and Cheyenne have played together once before and definitely have the same amount of energy!

Anyway, here’s trial session number two of my Real Life Sessions! Enjoy!

ROBYN & ANDREW / Real Life Maternity Session – Vancouver Maternity Photographer

Yesterday I announced a new type of photo session that I am now offering. Real Life Sessions. I have three sessions to share this week, starting with a Real Life Maternity Session!

A few weeks ago I photographed my friends, Robyn and Andrew, in their home. They were expecting their first baby (their little boy was born 2 days after this shoot, three weeks early!!) I love how the session turned out, and I love how different all three trial sessions are!

A look into Robyn and Andrew’s everyday. It be neat to do another session a year from now and see how different it might be with a toddler!
